YOU SHALL NOT TAKE THE NAME OF THE LORD YOUR GOD IN VAIN…

REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY, SIX DAYS YOU SHALL LABOR AND DO ALL YOUR WORK, BUT THE SEVENTH DAY IS A SABBATH OF THE LORD…

RELATIONSHIP SET:

HONOR YOUR FATHER AND YOUR MOTHER…

YOU SHALL NOT MURDER…

YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY…

YOU SHALL NOT STEAL…

YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS AGAINST YOUR NEIGHBOR

YOU SHALL NOT COVET…

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS MAY NOT BE BROKEN… HOWEVER THE HIGHER UP THE COMMANDMENTS YOU GO AS YOU BREAK THEM THE MORE SERIOUS THE SIN, AND THE MORE SERIOUS THE CONSEQUENCE…

Materialism

1. The Philosophy of Materialism: The philosophical theory, which regards matter and its motions as constituting the universe and all phenomena, including those of the mind, as due to material agencies.

2. The Ethics of Materialism: the doctrine that self-interest is and ought to be the first law of life.

3. The Worship of Materialism:   Devotion to material rather than spiritual objects, needs, considerations

4. The Opposite Poles of Materialism: Prosperity Gospel & Vows of Poverty. Asceticism — to deny oneself of material things such as food, clothing, housing (vow of poverty) in order to come into complete conformity with the Divine. (Spirit). (This places to much value on created things… Paul said rich or poor, clothed or naked, full or hungry… I am the same)

THE DIFFERENCE AND SIMILARITIES BETWEEN ASCETICISM AND THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL.

Both are the same just from opposite poles… one says I am holy because I am poor…. The other says because I am Holy, I am rich…

Matt. 6:19   “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures up on earth where moth and rust corrupt and thieves break through and steal. But lay your treasures up  in heaven, for where your treasure is there your heart will be also.

v      One way to know whether or not you are a mammon worship is to discern how much you really want Jesus to come back.

v      The better you have it in this life… the more you are satisfied to stay here… The harder this life becomes… the more you long for a better place…
