The Master Plan of Evangelism

Robert E. Coleman

The Master Plan:

I am the way…

Jn 14:6  I am the way the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.

I.                   The Great Commission…

Matt 28:18-20 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, " All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  19 " Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,  20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." NASU

Is the Job getting done?

Are we following the Jesus’ strategy or model?

       II.                What was His goal?

A.    To save out of the world a people for himself. Jn 4:42 and they were saying to the woman, "It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One is indeed the Savior of the world." NASU

B.     To see His kingdom come in glory and power. Matt 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Matt 6:13 and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

C.    To build a church of the Spirit that would never perish. Matt 16:18 "I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.” NASU

D.    To redeem what was lost. Jn 3:16-17  "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. NIV

E.     To Win! Crushing and defeating the enemy. 1Jn 3:8 …The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

F.     To glorify the Father. Luke 2:49" Why were you searching for me?" he asked. "Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house? NIV

Jn 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. NIV

III.             Everything He did was focused on this purpose.  Luke 2:49"Why were you searching for me?" he asked. "Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house?"

We are going to look at how he spent…

 His Time…

 His Energy…

 His Resources…

We will examine…

His Strategy…

His Mission…

How He mobilized His Movement…
