A letter to a Timothy
July 20, 2009
Hey friend,
Saw your post and had a question for ya. Does God's will ever not get done in the earth becuase of unbelief? Is it possible that we don't live in God's best because we don't take the risk of trusting Him for the impossible.
Lately God has been talking to me about unused faith. In other words... folks have recieved faith from Him... but they do not use it. Every time he speaks to us... we recieve corrosponding faith... (Fatih comes by hearing) , but if we do not activily believe, we won't recieve the promise ie; children of Israel in the desert. Our faith will actually die or be useless.
The scripture that says... "Fatih without works is dead" is ringing in my ears. That is saying that faith without corresponding actions will not produce anything... Sometimes you have to act like it is so, even when it is not so, in order for it to be so. Real faith is a faith that lives out on a limb.
Without stepping out of the boat we can believe all we want to... but we will never walk on water. I like what you said about if it is God's will. I believe we must clearly know His specific will before we take the step of faith... We must have a word from Him.
Even with a word though...faith is still a fight. "The just shall live by faith, and if any draw back my soul will have no pleasure in him." I think the greatest worship we bring to Him is when we fully trust Him. He will do the impossible if we will believe.
I am challenging people to get out of the 'safe zone' with God... We must believe Him for great things, if we are to see great things... This requires true brokeness... where we abandon all other loves and things we trust in... we must cling to Him, adhere to Him, rely on Him. The world we live in will not change unless some of His children believe Him for more.
I am not convinced the current status surrounding us is one that truly glorifies Him and reflects His greatness. Fear, strife, doubt, ubelief, lack of love, selfishness, impatience, judgement, personal agendas, religion etc. are restricting us from living in the fullness of what He has promised.
It is time to believe Him for great things... I have experienced some visitations with Him that have really stirred my heart these days... I would like to talk with you in person to share with you about what He has said. Please give me a call when you have some time. I am convinced that He is ready to move in a fresh, new, dynamic way.
Your Friend, Steve
