About Us
/i/Family/Steve2jpg.jpg

I was born in Virginia but spent my early childhood years in the Ozark Mountains of Southern Missouri. My parents were strong Christians and trained us to love and serve the Lord. In 1968 my father was transferred to Northeast Missouri. First to Hannibal then to Kirksville...  I call the Norheast Missouri area home.

Sheryl and I met in high school, we were married the summer after she graduated. We have spent our entire married life in ministry. It has been wonderful to get up each day with the intention of serving the Lord together.

What Makes Me Tick

Family - being with Sheryl, my wife of over 34 years...she's awesome! Hunting and fishing or hanging out with my son Steven (21), going on a date or doing anything (except shopping) with my daughters, Bekki (30) and Rachel (26)! Wow, now we have a new addition and he is my new best friend, Rachel gave birth to Jayden in October of 2007 and we are so proud to have this little guy in our family.

Ministry - training leaders, making disciples, planting churches, preaching, pastoring, traveling, praying, reading the Bible...and spending time with God. I love it when folks come together just to talk about the Kingdom of God. I am immensely more interested in being the church rather than simply "having" church! Recently I have been immersed in building regional energy centers, and leading a translocal team, I can't think of anything I would rather be doing.

Personal Stuff - Being at home at our cabin in Northeast Mo. We live on a beautiful lake surrounded by game filled forests. I love being in the woods hunting deer, turkey, and small game or getting on the lake to go fishing for trout, bass, crappie, catfish... I love the fly rod. I enjoy playing the guitar, writing music, reading everything, grilling on the deck, having freinds over for fellowship, listening to older saints talk about their walk with Jesus, hearing brand new believers talk about their walk with Jesus, mentoring leaders, praying, reading the Bible, worshipping... and sleeping on a rainy day!
